To The Giant Mountains

To The Great Mountains trip map On this trip you have a chance to leave the city and spend some time in the beauty of nature in Karkonowski National Park. We offer you trip to Mount Sniezka- the highest point of Sudety Mountains- 1,602 metres (5,256 feet). The tour guide will drive you to Karpacz, and lead you to the chairlift station, where you will take the journey up to the Mount Kopa (1375m). And now you are 530 meters higher then before!

The guide will take you for one hour walk up the Mount Sniezka. From the top you can admire the magnificent view of Karpacz and when the weather is good - also whole Sudety Mountains and Lower Silesia. On the top of Sniezka there is the border of Poland and Czech Republic. The hostel and Observatory is located on Sniezka as well. Over here the temperature is below 0ºC through 218 days during the year and over 100 days is snowing here. Wang Temple After you took a picture and have a rest our guide will take you down the hill to Kopa Mountain and down to Karpacz by chairlift.

Then we will show you Karpacz and its main attraction – the Wang stave church, which was built in the 12th century in Vang in Norway and transferred and re-erected in 1842 year. The church with its projecting roofs and dragon heads resembles a Viking ship. Interesting about this church is, that it's one and only Norwegian church existing outside Norway in whole World. After you rest the guide will take you back to Wroclaw.
