You are very welcome on a trip to the most gothic urban complex in Poland, placed on the Unesco Heritage List. Welcome to Torun!
This city is called 'Cracow of the North', as it is right after Cracow the second richest of original and best preserved historical monuments city in Poland. This is also the birthplace of Nicholas Copernicus, who provided a model of the universe in which the earth and all the other planets orbit around the sun.

Our guide will show you the heart of the Old Town- marketplace (of dimensions 109 x 104 m), with a few monuments and picturesque buildings. You will see the Town Hall, built in 14th century - a masterpiece of medieval gothic architecture. If you have strong legs, you can go up the tower to admire the panorama. The big tower means a year, 4 smaller corner towers – 4 seasons, 12 big rooms – months and 365 windows – days of the year. But what about leap-year with 366 days? The additional window was made at the beginning of such year and at the end it was closed down with bricks.
A few steps further there is the “Under the Star House”, which was erected in the Middle Ages and rebuilt in late 17th century in baroque style, the Arthur's Mansion, a statue of Copernicus and a small fountain intriguing with its legend. Then our guide will lead you to St. Johns’ Cathedral, one of the most valuable historical monuments of a highest world class in Torun. It has one of the biggest bells in Poland named “Tuba Dei” (“God’s Trumpet). Then we will walk to see the exhibition "The World of Torun Gingerbread". The tradition of baking gingerbread in the town of Copernicus is almost as long as its history. You can’t leave Torun without trying these aromatic cookies made from top quality flour, exceptional honey and oriental spicy flavoring. Then we go to the house of Nicolas Copernicus, where you can see the exhibition showing his life and work. The next stop is Leaning Tower, which is 15 m high and the declination is 1.4 m. Take a picture and in the meantime our guide will tell you the legend of it. Then walk along the Vistula River to Teutonic Knights' castle ruins. The castle was destroyed by town’s inhabitants in 15th century. Why? Please ask our guide.
