On this tour we will familiarize you a bit with the history of XX century. Our guide will take you to the Exhibition "Roads of freedom", telling you about people, who tried to make the dreams about sovereignty of Poland come true. "Solidarity" was the first non-communist trade union in a communist country, founded in September 1980 at the then Lenin Shipyards, and originally led by Lech Walesa, later awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

Next highlight is Fallen Workers Monument by Gdansk shipyard, which commemorates the 42 or more people killed during the Coastal cities events in December 1970.
Later we will take you to Westerplatte - the Gdansk peninsula, where the first major battle of the invasion of Poland in 1939 took place. Repeated attacks of 3500 German soldiers were repelled by the 180 Polish soldiers for seven days.
The last stop is a while of wistfulness in Stutthof - first concentration camp built by the Nazi Germany regime outside of Germany.
The lowest estimation of the number of victims is 85,000. Here professor Rudolf Spanner, an SS officer and "scientist" invented a process to produce soap from human fat in 1940. Hundreds people were executed for the "production" of soap. The museum collects and describes any documentation concerning the ex-camp such as records, objects, photographs, reports and memories of ex-prisoners and various publications.
