Canoeing and Kayaking in Poland

The most beautiful rivers are in the north-eastern Poland - Krutynia, Czarna Hańcza (flowing through Lake Wigry and the Augustów Forest), Biebrza, Rospuda, Łyna, Pisa. Krutynia river is considered to be one of the most beautiful kayaking trails in Europe! It is worth visiting not only in the summer.

Another popular region for kayaking is Lubuskie Lake District, the best rivers are Obra, Warta and Drawa. Touring on the river canoe trail offers spectacular and unspoilt scenery, access to abundant wildlife and birdlife, a number of places of interest en route, and a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of modern life. The routes takes you through wonderful unspoilt countryside and forests much loved by lovers of nature. It is also worth to choose Brda, which routes in the Bytów Lakeland and the Tuchola Forest or Radunia in Kashubia. You can paddle through delightful rivers in the shadow of huge pines and oaks going down the slopes of ravines to wash their roots and the reflections of their crowns in the cool and clean water. Kayakers looking for that special, intense experience might want to go down one of the mountain rivers like Białka running through Tatry and Podhale – horrifyingly cold, rushing, foamy and strewn with granite rocks, Dunajec or Poprad in Beskid Sadecki.

If you are interested in river rafting, go down the Dunajec river. You will have a great opportunity watching the nature and „hunting without blood”. The beauty of the Pieniny landscape is astonishing. The local highlander will company you on the way. Dunajec is cutting through the mountains from the summit of the Trzy Korony and from the top of Mt Sokolica, you will pass the majestic steep cliffs often over 300 meters high, looming over the shallow mountain rapids.
